Public Notice - Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program

The Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) applied to the Bureau of Justice Assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice on October 17, 2024, to obtain the federal fiscal year 2024 funding available through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.

The Department applied for $3,760,573 and will use these funds to make grants to localities, state agencies, and nonprofit organizations to support law enforcement, prosecution, and judicial programs; crime prevention and education programs; corrections and community corrections programs; drug treatment programs; and technology improvement programs.

The application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance is available for public review at the Department’s office at 1100 Bank Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219, and comments from the public are welcome.
