The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is pleased to announce, “Transform Your Impact: Mastering the SRO Triad Approach.” This one-hour webinar introduces the SRO Triad Model, emphasizing School Resource Officers' (SROs) balanced roles as Law Enforcement Officers, Law-Related Educators, and Mentors. Participants will explore how each role contributes to building safe, supportive school environments that foster student success. The session will include an overview of emergency management duties, strategies for engaging students through law-related education, and techniques for building positive relationships. Practical examples and real-world applications will be discussed to help SROs immediately implement the Triad approach in their daily work.
In this webinar, participants will have an opportunity to learn about:
- Identify and understand the three key roles of the SRO Triad.
- Recognize how emergency management, education, and mentorship combine to support student well-being.
- Gain practical strategies to apply the Triad model effectively in school environments.
Who Should Attend?
School resource officers and any law enforcement officer who regularly works with students in a school or campus setting.

Please note that the DCJS registration system does not have the capacity to sort eligible from ineligible registrants. Therefore, anyone who registers will receive confirmation. It is the responsibility of the DCJS assigned course director to review the roster and make a final determination on acceptance into the course. Registrants not accepted will be notified via the email address provided during registration.
